Baby massage: More sleep, less crying, less stress.

Researchers at the University of Warwick concluded* that massage may well help infants sleep better, cry less and feel less stressed. Collating the results of 9 separate studies in to the effect of massage on children (including 598 babies under 6 months old), they found significant evidence that massaged infants cry less, sleep better and have lower stress hormone levels such as cortisol, compared to those not massaged regularly.
